Last year's Concert Under the Stars fundraising event donations were used to pay for Abigael Jabet's second semester of college at the Bukura Agricultural Institute. As of March, Jabet has a 3.04 GPA. She is the youngest daughter of Veronica, an Empowering Lives International employee that I met in 2005 on a short term mission trip with Cornernstone Bible Church. This is a three year course to earn a certificate diploma and the school fees for this year will be $480US due in August 2015 when she reports back to school for her second year.

Veronica and her daughter Jabet want to let you know how grateful they are for your support of her college education.

Dear Jayne, 8/30/14

Thank you very much for helping me pay my fees for my second year so that I was able to go back to school. It is a miracle for me to be back for my studies since my mom had no money and we were seeing no way out. But God used you and you were able to pay my fees. I am so grateful to you.

I pray also that my 3rd year will also be possible and I will be able to finish my schooling in 2016.

Thank you so much and continue praying for us. I am working hard in school as my mom struggles to find accomodation and food money for me. Thank you so much my regards to your family

Habari Jayne, 5/18/15

Veronica was at home this morning after she had been away for over 2 months at her sister's house because of a chronic foot wound that she has been advised by the hospital to be cut! Veronica has resorted to use the herbal medicine which she believes will heal her foot. She cannot walk well. She cannot do any casual job to feed her family now.

She asked me to tell you that she is so grateful for helping her educate Chebet. She lost words to express that and she shed tears. I have sent you the structure in advance and the results of first year. Chebet is going out on practical attachment from May to July 2015 and will report back in college in August. She will be done with her second year in April 2016. God bless you.

Cofounder Jayne goes to Indonesia to teach ESL
In July 2015 Jayne traveled to Indonesia with a team from Life Bible Fellowship to teach Conversational English in Java, Indonesia. "I am so excited about this trip. It has been six years since my last international trip. Thank you to those who supported me with prayer and/or funds for this trip."

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.
Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
